ANTIC to raise awarenesss of the population of Dja et Lobo on cyber security

In continuation of its nation-wide campaign to keep Cameroonians abreast of basic cyber security best practices, the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies, ANTIC, shall organise a Seminar to raise the awareness of the population of Dja et Lobo, 27 Feb. - 01 March  2019, at the Sangmelima Council Hall.

Holding under the theme: "Stop Cybercrime, together let's bar the way," the seminar shall be the first at Divisional level following previous ones organized at regional level across the country.

Undertaken in a bid to promote the safe use of ICTs and scale down the incidence of cybercrime in Cameroon, the activity falls within the framework of ANTIC's mission of ensuring the security of Cameroon’s cyberspace.

The public shall be drilled on the institutional, legal and technical aspects of cyber security as well as best practices to be adopted in the cyberspace.

The seminar shall be marked by the following activities:

  • Presentations and a question and answer session on cybercrime and cyber security concerns;
  • Distribution of cyber security brochures and campaign gadgets;
  • An ICT contest that shall convene five secondary schools of Dja et Lobo Division. It shall be marked by award of prizes to winners.
