Cyber criminality: Simple and few protection tricks

There are three types of protective measures against attacks committed through computer networks.

1 - Computer protection:

1 - Computer protection:

-          Antivirus software must be installed in your computer and it should be regularly updated so as to protect the computer against viruses and unwanted soft wares.

-          A "fire wall", also called protective barrier, prevents hacking (intrusion) in a computer or on a computer network.

2 - The protection of our children:

Access to some sites can be locked with browsers when you go to the menu "options" and "security", and it is recognized by logos such as: confidence, prohibited, coded.

Specific software filters access powered by "black lists" (lists of sites that are permitted or prohibited) or key words. But the best protection is parental vigilance.

Here are some tips on how our children should use the Internet responsibly:

-           Make the Internet as a tool of exchange and familiar to your children by putting a computer in a room.

-          Tell  your child to be very vigilant: Do not give personal information or make an appointment with a stranger;

-          Establish a climate of trust with your children so that they can express themselves on the sites that may make them uncomfortable.

How to protect your purchases on the Internet:

 Purchases that are carried out through the Internet are more secure. The appearance of logos at the bottom of the browser (lock and key) is a guarantee of security.

However, we must remain vigilant when we receive an unexpected offer. If you doubt, check the legal information of the site such as the trade register number.

If you are a victim of a scam (command paid without delivering the goods, flow without purchase), you can process a complaint indicating:

-          If you are or not subscribed to the Internet;

-          If you want to used your credit card on the Internet and on which sites exactly;

-          The full number of your credit card used for payment, your bank reference and your account, as well as the copy of the bank account statement.
