ANTIC will laid this sensitization campaign in the city of Bafoussam on Wednesday 19-Friday, 21 March, 2014, through a seminar of sensitization on cyber security to the population of the West Region.

Held at the Bafoussam TALOTEL hotel, the seminar whose opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Mr. MIDJIYAWA BAKARI, Governor of the Western region was focused on building the population of Cameroon on good practices to adopt in the cyberspace and on legal, technical, and institutional provisions inherent in cyber security.

 Regional delegations from public administration, forces of order, the judicial core, health authorities, Internet service providers, regional representatives of private and public companies, students, religious authorities (Bishop, Imam, pastor), civil society, NGOs, associations, managers of cybercafés. In brief, all social bodies of the Western Region are expected to take part in this event. Articulations will be as follows:

• The distribution of gadgets and brochures of  the campaign against cyber criminality;
• A workshop with authorities of Internet cafes;
• Presentations and exchanges on the third day, 05 minutes of maintenance between experts from ANTIC and the general public on all that concerns cyber security and cyber criminality.

The National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies will organize on Friday, March 21, 2014 educational lectures on ANTIC, ICT and cyber security for scholars and students of the following schools:

• Ecole publique japonaise de Bafoussam ;
• Lycée bilingue de Bafoussam ;

-          Lycée technique de Banengo de Bafoussam

This exciting activity will be accompanied by a quiz and prizes to be awarded.
